ZCLG 026 The first album since Kathy Stobart re-joined the Band in April 1991. This contains the familiar and successful Lyttelton mix of originals (by Buck Clayton, Kenny Graham, Harry South and Humph himself), Ellingtonia ("Jack the Bear", "The Lady of the Lavender Mist") and standards ("My Funny Valentine", "Frankie and Johnny", "St Louis Blues"). Guest guitarist Dave Cliff lends a jam session air to several tracks.

CLGCD 024  DON HARPER’S AUSTRALIAN CHAMBER JAZZ ENSEMBLE. 1982 - "SYDNEY SUNDAY"
ZCLG 024     The late Don Harper returned to his native Australia several years ago after living and working in London for almost 30 years, building a big reputation in studios and jazz spots alike for his superb jazz violin playing. This album was made in Australia not long after his return and features his nephew, Stephen McKenna, on guitar. They make an exciting team in a wide range of repertoire from standards to classical adaptations and originals.

            "GONNA CALL MY CHILDREN HOME"
The subject of a BBC TV documentary early in 1987, this recording session aimed, after much research, to convey the probable sound of the legendary Buddy Bolden Band at the turn of the century. With band and piano ragtime pieces thrown in, plus two tracks by the All Stars in their own right, this 56 minute album truly represents THE WORLD OF BUDDY BOLDEN.

Powerful blues and boogie woogie performances in which unusual tunes such as "Love For Sale", "Willow Weep For Me" and Paul Desmond’s "Take Five" rub shoulders with the likes of Stan’s show-stopper "Honky Tonk Train Blues". 


ZCLG 003 BRUCE TURNER. 1984 - "THE DIRTY BOPPER"
Bruce Turner’s highly successful album was his first ever quartet album under his own name. It’s popularity owes as much to the imaginative guitar playing of Dave Cliff and the classy rhythm support of Dave Green and Eddie Taylor, as to Bruce’s own alto clarinet playing of world-class originality. 

URCD147 - This recording is also available on CD through Upbeat Recordings. This is a well-loved Calligraph re-issue onto CD format with the addition of three extra tracks of Humpnhrey Lyttelton and his band live at the Bull's Head in Barnes.
Humph himself is very pleased with the CD and it really is a must for all Bruce Turner fans.
