exciting team in a wide range of repertoire from standards to classical adaptations and
originals.

The subject of a BBC TV documentary early in 1987, this recording session aimed, after
much research, to convey the probable sound of the legendary Buddy Bolden Band at the turn
of the century. With band and piano ragtime pieces thrown in, plus two tracks by the All
Stars in their own right, this 56 minute album truly represents THE WORLD OF BUDDY BOLDEN.

alto clarinet playing of world-class originality.
URCD147 - This recording is
also available on CD through Upbeat Recordings.
This is a well-loved Calligraph re-issue onto CD format with the addition of three extra
tracks of Humpnhrey Lyttelton and his band live at the Bull's Head in Barnes.
Humph himself is very pleased with the CD and it really is a must for all Bruce Turner
fans.
