For more than two decades Calligraph Records has been the home label of
"Humphrey Lyttelton and his Band" - Now an 8-piece band!

Humphrey Lyttelton started his band nearly sixty years ago and since 1948 it has been in the forefront of British Jazz.

He founded Calligraph Records in 1983.

Other artists who have recorded on the label include Stacey Kent, Helen Shapiro, Acker Bilk, Maxine Daniels, Don Harper and former "Lytteltonians" Wally Fawkes, Bruce Turner, Stan Greig, John Barnes and Alan Barnes.

Guesting with the Band from America have been Buddy Tate, Kenny Davern, Lillian Boutte and Scottish expatriate Joe Temperley, formerly with Humph for many years.

Calligraph Records aims for the best in jazz music, production and presentation.

Products are available by mail order, specialised jazz record outlets and at Humph's gigs.
